We opened this branch in 2002, the same year Novak Lock & Security itself came into being. The parent brand was the oldest company Haven would ever acquire, and we were there from the start. What brought us to Los Angeles specifically was a pattern we kept seeing in the three-star reviews and the stories customers told us at their doorsteps. A homeowner in Venice would call three companies after a break-in. The first would quote $45 over the phone and present a $340 invoice. Daniel Novak’s Personal Connection to the Locksmith Trade
Daniel Novak didn’t fall into this work. He was pulled into it by the physical reality of the job itself. His training came initially from the tradesman who sold him that first key machine, then from the certification programs Novak Lock & Security required as the brand grew, and finally from the thousands of jobs where the only teacher was the lock itself.

Our hours are Monday through Friday 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM, Saturday and Sunday 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM. We’re not pretending to be from somewhere else. Daniel lives here. The trucks are parked here.
